Some Drama Entertainment For You.

Image
The gun community—like any group of passionate people—is no stranger to a little drama. Honestly, put two or more people together, and you're bound to have disagreements. That’s just human nature. What is surprising sometimes is how completely unaware some folks can be of their own behavior. Then again… maybe that isn’t be so surprising, either. Still, a bit of drama now and then isn’t all bad. It can actually be useful: it gives us a chance to take a step back, reflect, and maybe grow from it, if we are smart about it. What you’ll see below is a conversation between someone who either used to work for—or was hoping to work for—a firearms trainer. From what I understand, the trainer is fairly successful in the industry. As for the Assistant Instructor hopeful… well, I’m not sure exactly why they were upset, but I am pretty sure why they’re not on the team anymore. I had to clean the conversation up quite a bit—not for profanity, but because the grammar and sentence structure we...

Thoughts, June 2025

Inspired from this post by my friend, Lefty ... here are some random thoughts, based on his random thoughts.  Nobody in shape mocks your meal prep. Nobody with goals questions your routine. Nobody who is winning hates your work ethic. It's the uncommitted that hate consistency. You don't owe them comfort.  Dunning-Krueger Effect. It's a thing.  Hopefully 8 years of Vance, based off of what we have seen.  I've only ever been to two concerts. The first was a performer my wife (then girlfriend) wanted to see in the mid 90's. The second a friend wanted to go to in 2002. If it was me, I'd see Metallica, but I know that window is closing.  New Zealand and Canada. Both within the past two years. Didn't really want to go to either, at first. But they were good trips.  Right at 15 years of smartphone ownership for me. That means 70% of my life was spent without a smart phone.  I need to get back to keto / carnivore.  I once bought a lottery ticket for a fr...

10 Commandments of a Marksman

Image
The Ten Commandments of the Marksman Thou shalt treat every firearm as though it be loaded, yea, even if thou knowest it not to be so. For the way of the careless is destruction, and the end thereof bringeth sorrow. Thou shalt ever keep the muzzle pointed in a direction that is safe, wherein no harm may come to thy brother, nor thy beast, nor thy dwelling. Lest thy hand bring forth an unintended wounding. Thou shalt not place thy finger upon the trigger, save when thine heart is fixed and thy aim made ready to fire. For the idle finger causeth mischief, but the wise waiteth for the appointed time. Thou shalt know thy target, and consider well what lieth beyond; for the bullet goeth not where thou desirest, but where thou sendest it. Therefore, be thou diligent, that innocent blood be not spilt. Thou shalt take hold of thy firearm with a sure and proper grip, firm yet not strained, that it move not at the moment of truth. For as the craftsman holdeth his tool, so ...

Being a Father in 2025

Seen on social media: The 7 Lies They Told You About Being a Good Dad  Let’s rip the bandage off. Being a father in 2025 isn’t about love. It’s about loss.  Loss of voice.  Loss of control.  Loss of dignity.  Because while the world claims to celebrate “good dads,” it actually rewards lies, silence, and servitude. Here are the 7 biggest lies they told you:  1. “If You Stay, She’ll Stay Too” You were told to be present. To be loyal. To show up. So you did. You stayed through the fights. Through the cold nights. Through the passive-aggressive silence. But guess what? She still left. And the courts still took her side. Because staying isn’t security anymore. It’s just a stage for betrayal. 2. “If You Love Her Right, She Won’t Cheat” You gave her everything. You loved her. You supported her. You protected her. But love doesn’t stop entitlement. She still wanted “space.” She still flirted for attention. She still claimed she was “unfulfilled.” You gave her peac...

Another Sad Loss

Kay Arthur of Precept Ministries passed away yesterday . She was 91. My parents were friends with Jack and Kay Arthur. Perhaps they are all chatting now in Heaven.

This Will Trigger The Weak

Seen on Social Media: Your Wife Is Your First Daughter—Treat Her Like a Baby, Or She’ll Break Your Home Let’s scatter the woke table: Your wife is not your equal. She’s not your therapist. And she’s definitely not your homeboy. She’s your first daughter—emotionally, mentally, and psychologically. And the moment you start expecting her to “reason like a man” or “carry half the weight,” you’ve already lost. The modern man is confused. He's told to be vulnerable, yet punished when he shows weakness. Told to be “emotionally available,” yet abandoned when he starts crying like a choirboy. Let’s get this straight: Women were designed to be nurtured. Not negotiated with. Let’s break it down like a real father would. — 1. Every Woman Is a Grown Baby Looking for Emotional Security She’ll talk tough. She’ll claim she’s independent. But when the bills land or the pressure hits? She’s curled up in your arms, needing your shoulder—and your wallet. Why? Because biologically, her system runs on h...

Goodbye. Good Riddance.

Recently, a young woman, Ximena Arias-Cristobal, was arrested for driving without a license . It turns out, she was not in the country legally. So she is being deported. Reportedly, her family is going to be deported, as well. Naturally, Liberals are outraged  ™ .   Why the outrage? Likely because "Trump is doing it." Remember, many more illegals were deported under Obama than have been under Trump.  Why this story? Likely because the criminal in question is a young, attractive female.  Why does this author call her a criminal? Well, to be fair, many of these things are allegations at this point. Nevertheless, here are the infractions alleged: She disregarded a red light.  She lied to the officer about having an international license. She has no license.  She knowingly drove without a license.  She likely had no insurance.  She had knowingly stayed in the US illegally after reaching age 18.  This shows, yet again, that a person wil...
